What is Pumpcon?
Pumpcon is one of the oldest continuously held hacker conferences in the U.S. We’re more than computer security- we’ve had speakers discuss locksmithing, neuroanatomy, law and group dynamics. Of course, there is a lot of discussion of doing neat things to computers…
Can I come?
That depends. Pumpcon has been invite only for years. It keeps things from becoming a zoo. If you’ve been invited, sure. If you’re a guest of an invitee, sure. Otherwise, the only way to attend is to give a talk. Or send us naked pictures of euphoria’s mom. Or naked pictures of euphoria. Or just a picture of euphoria. That’ss get you in…
What’s it cost to attend?
We don’t charge admission. You can buy the organizers and speakers drinks, though. We encourage that. We do sell stuff to cover costs (in 2008 it’s stylish t-shirts AND PumpCon branded beer glasses!)
If I give a talk, what do I get paid?
The undying admiration of some of the most clueful hackers, and maybe a free drink.

When is Pumpcon?
PumpCon is the last weekend before Halloween. The drinking starts Friday night, the talks Saturday afternoon and the party continues until Sunday. Early Friday Night, October 24th till the

Where should I stay?
The Best Western is an ideal place to stay. We also recommend the Hotel Carlisle on Poplar and Carlisle Streets as an inexpensive place to stay and possible location for this year’s PumpCon Shoot.
